FAQ

How do I care for my TOL Jewellery©?

We recommend that you take care and use common sense when wearing your TOL Jewellery©.

Some of the gems used are delicate stones such as opals or emeralds. We therefore advise you to take special precautions with your TOL Jewellery©.
Here are some suggestions on how to care for your jewellery (non-exhaustive list):

  • remove your jewellery when using chemicals and corrosive products (such as bleach, chlorine, ammonia, paint, etc.) or when applying cosmetics or beauty products;
  • remove your jewellery when swimming or when exposed for a long period of time
    to the sun or UV light;
  • protect your jewellery from prolonged exposure to water or moisture, as this may tarnish your jewellery;
  • store your jewellery carefully in a dry and dust-free place, for example in its
    jewellery pouch or box;
  • keep each piece of jewellery separate to prevent them from scratching each other;
  • protect your jewellery from too many impacts to avoid chipping.

Finally, keep in mind that, over time, your TOL Jewellery© may become tarnished or scratched. This is not a sign of poor quality but is considered as normal wear and tear. With professional cleaning, your T.O.L Jewellery© can recover its original splendour (for more information, see the question “Does TOL Jewellery© offer a care and repair service?”).

Is TOL Jewellery© covered by a warranty?

If your piece of TOL Jewellery© breaks due to a design or manufacturing defect within 60 days of your initial purchase, we will repair or replace your TOL Jewellery©. After this deadline, each piece of TOL Jewellery© will be sent to our atelier for a thorough examination to assess the reason for the problem. In this case, you may be charged for the repair. Please also note that, as each stone is unique, some repairs may not be possible.

We would also like to point out that our warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use or care, accidents or natural deterioration of materials over time.

For any defective or damaged products, you can contact us by e-mail at info@toljewellery.com or by phone on 0032(0) 2 732 05 59 in order to schedule an appointment to assess the problem. We will do our best to repair or replace your piece of jewellery each time.

Does TOL Jewellery© offer a care and repair service?

At some point, your TOL Jewellery© may need small repairs (replacement of small gems or diamonds) or care (polishing, cleaning, rhodium plating, etc.). This is quite normal and is part of the classic wear and tear of a piece of jewellery. We will gladly carry out these small repairs and care free of charge.

However, the centre stones of our jewellery, carefully chosen for their durability, as well as their settings are carefully inspected by our atelier and by ourselves before any sale. Any damage to a centre stone can only occur in case of improper use or accident, and therefore, will not be covered by our warranty.

Can the band of a TOL Jewellery© ring be resized?

When you purchase a TOL Jewellery© ring, we will adjust the size of the band to your finger if the design allows. If this is not possible, we will gladly reproduce the ring model to your size as long as we still have the same stones available. Should your ring no longer fit over time, we will gladly resize it, provided the design allows this, for an additional fee (resizing fees may fluctuate depending on the price of gold).

Do keep in mind that changes in temperature or lifestyle can alter the size of your finger by one or two sizes. That is why we recommend that you measure your finger several times before finalising your order.

Do the TOL Jewellery© come with a certificate?

For each piece of TOL Jewellery©, we provide a certificate stating the alloy of the piece of jewellery and the name of the stones, as well as their origins, weights, colours, sizes and measurements. As certified Gemmologists and Diamond Graders, we are authorised to issue this certificate.

Naturally, on request, it is also possible to call on the services of an official laboratory (such as HRD, GIA, etc.) in order to evaluate a piece of jewellery. This laboratory will issue a grading report for you for the loose stone of the piece of jewellery or for the piece of jewellery itself. The cost of this certificate may vary according to the carat weight of the stone or the complexity of the jewel to be certified.
Finally, any piece of TOL Jewellery© set with a diamond of 0.50 carat or more is automatically delivered with a diamond analysis report at no extra cost.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0032 (0)2 224 16 60 or send an e-mail to info@toljewellery.com.

Thank you for your confidence.
